For OCD Handwashing

If you’re new to this site, please start here.

If you’re still in the thick of PANDAS disease, waiting on your camel or donkey milk, trying to get your child used to not eating chicken nuggets and white bread….

And they’re still washing their hands incessantly until they bleed.  And you’re going through a bottle of hand soap a day.  Or more.  You’ve tried getting the “good” stuff, the natural stuff, the gentle stuff, but it’s so expensive, and your kids goes through it like water.  So you go back to the cheap stuff, and the chemicals in it eat her up, and she looks like she’s been burned.

Here’s one, easy, cheap way to help her.  Forget about trying to stop her from ritualistic, manic, hand washing.  She can’t.

Make the child some gentle, cheap, hand soap!  Get a bar of good, quality Goat’s Milk or Donkey Milk Soap.  Get some Glycerin.  And a gallon of Distilled Water.  Shred your bar of soap into the water, add 2 TBSP of glycerin, heat on medium until soap shaving dissolve, let cool for 10-12 hours.  Here’s the detailed recipe with pretty pictures.  This makes that bar of expensive soap into a GALLON of awesome liquid hand soap.  Hopefully it will last you at least a week. Just think of it, with all the money you’re saving on hand soap and lotions for your little panda bear, you can buy Donkey Milk. 🙂

This blog is written by an anonymous mom. PANDAS disease is ugly. It’s practically unheard of, but it’s not rare. 1 in 200 kids has it. That’s right up there with childhood diabetes…but my pediatrician had never heard of it. This leads me to the question, how many kids out there are misdiagnosed, drugged for “behavioral issues”, OCD, schizophrenia, ADD, Autism, ADHD, Anorexic, or taken from their “bad” parents by well meaning doctors, teachers, and lawyers who don’t know about PANDAS. How many parents are searching for answers every night, in silent agony over losing their child, and have no one to talk to, no one who understands. This blog is for those parents. Those doctors. Those teachers. But mostly, it’s for those children. The ones with the fear in their eyes and the haunted look. The chapped and bloodied hands from washing incessantly. The lost childhood.

Lord, multiply this, share it with those who need it most. I don’t have time, or resources, or knowledge to get it into their hands. If it will bless them, let this reach them. In Jesus Name I pray for each hurting child. Amen.
